Jokes aside, i think italians do respect him as the smart player he is.

For RM fans he wasn't flair and fancy enough. We have those kind of fans here on tuz too.

Ok good, cause i'm quite content with him. Solid, clever, does his job, even without magical fancy stuff or spectacular tacklings... For this things we have others. Magical Disco Stu for example.

You should look closer because it isn't just like Khedira isn't a bench player for us and never has been.
He has been signed as bosman bench player before the summer '15 events around Vidal unfolded. His position in starting XI is a result of our failure to sign a toptier CM in that very summer and the upcoming one and we have been evidently looking for one.

If you are content with players like Khedira maybe you should go follow Lazio rather than Juventus.

We need some top tier shid already on midfield. Losing Pogba Pirlo and Vidal has been way too much in little time. Pjanic is fine, but we need at least 2 more (depending on what formation we will use) of that caliber or better, who can fulfill the required roles.

On top of that we need like 2 more great wingers since now Pjacas future is uncertain with us.

He was great last season with Pogba, but this season the whole midfield looked weakened because Pjanic couldnt adapt to the Pogba role, so we switched formation
that's a bit harsh on pjanic as we also missed (and honestly, still miss) the true marchisio, and had other - all underwhelming - options like hernanes, sturaro or lemina.

But Pogba and Khedira also perforrmed well together without Marchisio last season, they complimented each other more as a btb pair than Pjanic and Sami did. Now without Pogba, we dont have that ball carrying CM that will take the ball to the opposition half anymore, for who Khedira was an excellent supporting CM, and since neither him or Pjanic are that type of midfielder we were forced to make the formation change. Now that we dont struggle with bringing the ball upfront anymore Sami can again play his usual game and push to the opponents half without the ball and cause problems with his off ball movement. As a btb pair Sami&Paul>Sami&Mire, but as a holding mid pair Sami&Mire>Sami&Paul

Parolo :tuttosport:

If we keep the 442 formation tho we only need one more CM imo. Marchisio, Pjanic, Khedira, new guy rotating for the 2 spots. Sturaro and Rincon for the bench.

He was signed to be a starter like he has been for his whole tenure here thus far.

I'm content on following Khedira and Juventus but thank you for the suggestion.

not sure what you mean

Khedira Marchisio Pogba
Vidal

all also on 4M+ wages. our "failure in signing a top CM" resulted in us going from a 4man midfield to a 3man midfield, nothing to do with Khediras status in the team

i dont think we are going for a high cost CM at this point, unless we switch a 3man midfield again for next season. Pjanic, Khedira, Marchisio are top options, Rincon is good for rotation in Serie A. imo it will be a market opportunity again, like Pjanic last season, someone like Emre Can or Goretzka. not so sure about Tolisso, looks to be another Andre Gomes scenario to me (rumored to us for months, we go for the cheaper option, he ends up elsewhere)

Pirlo hadn't left at that point u dip. Khedira was signed as squad player but our starters melted so he moved up. And stayed there :inter:

I agree with the last bit you wrote about a high cost CM
