Anyone else think this guy is going to have a big year. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him play 2500-3000 minutes in all comps. I honestly think he's going to be healthy and happy as a pig in shit this year.

He went from 4 straight seasons over 2900 minutes... to 1200 minutes the year he ruptured his ACL, to 600 minutes the next year as he tried to regain fitness to 1900 minutes last year with us last year.

I definitely think he can. We know he's capable as he completed 4 games in 2 weeks at the Euros, the little knocks are all that is preventing him from having an excellent season.

Injuries aside (and yes I realise he missed way too many games) Sami was absolutely excellent for us last season. Seriously. Tactically superb, intelligent, and a master of making late runs into the box - chipped in with a few goals too.

Some of these things you just can't quantify. I guess I want him to have the same kind of season Marchisio did in Conte's first season with us. Don't know what it is, some players you just love straight away and others seem kind of meh for no real reason. He's a brilliant player and I can't believe we didn't have to pay any transfer fee for him, though. Glad to have him with us.
