I was cheering for Italy for the whole tournament. Toto and Baggio were on fire. Another Inter Milan who missed the decisive penalty kick was Aldo Serena. Inter Milan players at that World Cup really fucked up the whole country.

The 1990 WC was such an anti-climax from the semifinals onwards:
The way Italy lost and the lukewarm support from the Naples crowd [who were in love with Maradona].
People were clamoring for the semifinal venues to be swapped: Italy-Argentina to be moved to Turin and England-W. Germany to Naples mainly because of the [then] recent Heysel tragedy.
The final itself was so lousy and was topped off by Klinsmann's very honest antics.
