The Russians have been trying to discredit these and the ones in Georgia for over a decade. From the Russian perspective they don't want any potentially hostile activity near their borders, so without proof the disinformation campaign is a tried and tested method for them to use. And it's now another justification angle for them to work after the previous laughable attempts.

If there was nothing wrong with the labs why would the US embassy in Ukraine deleted all of data about the labs? Why did they get the instructions to destroy all information regarding the labs?
