Honestly, everyone is looking out for their own best interests so it makes more sense to join the winning team therefore, being friends with Israel is best for most countries. Right now, even though Russian atrocities are happening and Putin is already guilty of war crimes, the cost of helping Ukraine isn't beneficial for most nations. I'm afraid Ukraine will fall, their people will be slaughtered and Russia will take the land without any outside military opposition. By crippling Russia economically, the West is hoping the citizens will try and overthrow Putin as opposed to sending some badass Steven Segal type to assassinate Putin.

Zelenskyy was not promised anything by the West. Ukraine wants to join NATO and EU and this is their sovereign decision. No one, especially the Kremiln Sauron, is justified to take military action against the country.
And BTW, the NATO and EU are helping with whatever they can at the moment. They should do more, fuck, I would even support a "no fly zone", but this is unrealistic and extremely dangerous.
