The Primavera will be without Giuseppe Ruggiero for the rest of their Viareggio Cup campaign. The winger was withdrawn midway through yesterday’s clash against Apia Leichhardt having sustained an injury to his right knee.
This morning saw Ruggiero undergo several tests at the Fornaca clinic in Turin. These revealed a torn lateral meniscus which will be operated on tomorrow morning. The player is expected to be out for between 45-60 days.
