The answer to our (creative) problems could've been in our own hands all this time: Ruben Olivera as cmf, i'm certainly looking forward to that happening again. I doubt though that Capello will try that formation regularly.

Olivera didn't impress me against Livorno but playing him in centre midfield is definitely something that should be tried again imo. I wonder how Olivier Kapo would do in that position.

Hm, I doubt Kapo would be a good choice for the central midfield role. He is not as strong as Olivera and seems to get pushed off the ball too much for my liking. Olivera has more size and is a stronger player, so we should focus on him adapting to the central midfield role.

The use of Olivera in the Livorno game as CM was interesting and give us a more fluid offensive playgame, but also warns us about how much our defensive capacity depends on playing with two contention midfielders.
For more than half of the second part we loose the control of the midfield, until the moment Tacchi was in.

We should phase Olivera in to our team, with the end product being Olivera as a regular starter for whichever position near the end of the season.

He can only mature more, by playing more.
Unless Capello is flexible enough to grant Olivera a space in the starting line-up...........and I predict that it will be pretty soon............

frankly I think we should look for a more reliable solution next year to replace Neddy
olivera is good enough, but he needs a bit time to develope
