Giovanni Rossi sought to hail the performances of both sides in this evening’s Coppa Italia first leg final against Roma. The head of the Youth Sector also expressed his belief that Juventus are capable of overturning their first leg deficit when the two teams meet again on 22 March.

Speaking after the final whistle, Rossi said: “It was more or less the same game we saw in Viareggio, with the halves switched around. These two sides know how to offer a spectacle that is difficult to see at youth level. Both teams honoured football and I appreciated the fact that the 13,000 spectators applauded at the end of the game. With a little bit of luck, we could have drawn. I’m confident that we’ll be able to give it a good go in Rome.”
