Who do we need more than Rosicky? I'm going to give you a recent and applicable example of how the addition of one imaginative attacking player can change the furtunes of a team despite the contuining lack of depth and quality in other departments: FC Barcelona and Ronaldinho. They've not had a good defense for years and years, so what do they do? They go out and buy a brilliant young playmaker and they turn themselves around. Can Rosicky do the same for Juventus? Yes. Will he? We'll only know if we buy him.

Barca working on its defence since years. The reason for their upcoming is partly Ronaldinho but there happened a lot more than that:

Found Oleguer
Found a reliable keeper: Victor
Loaned Van Bronckhorst from Arsenal

and above all, they loaned Davids, the missing link for Barcas success. The unbeaten run started with Davids' first game in barca.

So I really doubt Rosicky would solve our defensive problem.

Alright, I don't think that y'all are getting what I'm saying. I'm not saying that Rosicky will solve our defensive problems, nor am I saying that Ronaldinho was the only component to Barca's turnaround. What I am saying is that a young creative and talented midfielder does more for a squad then just adding talent to the midfield. A player like that takes pressure off of every other member of the squad and, in the case of Ronaldinho, can change the direction of the entire club. You can buy a bunch of great defenders, but I don't think that they will have as much positive effect on the squad that Rosicky or someone like him would.

It's not about solving all of our problems, no one player can solve all of our problems, we simply have too many. The question was put forth as such: "Which single player (or position) will have the most positive impact on the team." My ascertion was that Rosicky (or someone like him) will have more positive impact on the team than any other potential acquisition.

Davids is increadible I can`t believe how Moggi gave up on him he deserve an increase in the salary he is magnificent he and Nedved were our best players If DP earns that much and Trez is getting this sort of contract too Davids surely worth it!
If you want us to get back that great defence make Davids come back you want us to get a better defence than in our Davids time get Davids back and get a couple of great defenders!
about our attacking end we surely need a playmaker like we used to have (Zidane) and the options are not many cause we need someone really great and there aren`t much great playmakers. From what I heard the only world class playmakers are only Rosicky Aimar Van Der Vaart Diego and ofcourse Totti but we will never get him there is also Zidane but I don`t think we will get him back and to tell you the truth I`m not so keen on getting him back.
Also from what I heard about Van Der Vaart he had a bad euro and maybe he isn`t world class after all but I have never seen him playing so I can`t judge on this

I think Rosicky is very much overrated, he was promising, but never delivered constantly. He had two flashes last night, but neither showed too much playmaking skills, nor too much willingnes, selfconfidence, leadership, or winning mentality. He shot the crossbar in the 3. minute, and played a magical one-two with Koller in the 83., between them: Nothing....

he cant fill the the empty place from nedved(in the moment). but hes young, he played every second game in front of 60-80000 fans...

i do agree to a small extent with togon.rosicky is overrated a little but he's a good passer of the ball and isn't selfish with it.

the thing with him is that most of the time he doesn't do anything special,but then again he hardly puts a foot wrong either.whereas some playmakers go on runs and try stuff in tight situations and end up losing the ball alot more.
