Rosicky Attracted To Juve
6/29/2004 3:34:00 PM
Czech Republic star Thomas Rosicky has revealed that the idea of joining Juventus appeals to him.
"I have asked Borussia Dortmund to sell me," he said. "I want to try Italian soccer. Juventus fascinates me, they are a team about which Pavel Nedved has spoken very well."

Dortmund’s dire financial situation means they are likely to have to let the little playmaker leave.

    Rosicky runs to Juve
    Tuesday 29 June, 2004

Juventus are planning a clean sweep of Czech internationals this summer with the probable arrival of Tomas Rosicky and Marek Jankulovski.

“I have asked Borussia Dortmund to be sold,” commented midfield star Rosicky. “I will make a decision on my future very soon.”

The youngster is still only 23 years of age, but has been impressive in the Czech run of four consecutive victories in Euro 2004. He had been heavily linked with Premiership outfits Liverpool and Spurs, but reveals the pull of Serie A football.

“I would like to play in Italy,” he explained. “Rather than Milan or Inter, I would prefer Juventus. My teammate Pavel Nedved has told me a great deal about the club and it sounds wonderful.”

The Bianconeri are restructuring their squad with the arrival of new Coach Fabio Capello and a creative midfield player would be a useful addition.

There is a strong Czech contingent building up in Turin, as they are also in advanced negotiations with Udinese wide man Marek Jankulovski (pictured).

Tottenham are tracking the free kick specialist as well, so Juve must up their current bid of £3m cash plus the loan of young defender Orlando Urbano....

3 - plus Urbano??? That is great!!!!:) It would be a great (cheap) price for a worldclass player like him.

If we get joaquin and emerson too we would have the best midfield:

    Nedved - -- - Rosicky - - - - Joaquin
    - - - - - - - -- Emerson- - - - - - - - -

    :D

Czech Republic's impressive midfielder Tomas Rosicky has again reiterated his desire to quit Borussia Dortmund in the summer, with Juventus his preferred destination.
The talented schemer has been in impressive form in Portugal and is hopeful that this will be enough to earn him a dream move to Serie A.

''Before leaving with my national team, I've officially asked Borussia to sell me,'' confirmed Rosicky.

''When I get back I'll talk with my agent and we will make a decision.''

Czech Republic captain Pavel Nedved currently plays at Juventus and Rosicky is keen to be united with his international colleague at club level.

''I'd like to play Italian football,'' Rosicky continued. ''Rather than Inter, or Milan, I'm thinking about Juventus.

''Pavel talks of them in a really good way.''

However, despite Rosicky's declaration of affection for the Old Lady, it seems the Turin giants are more interested in Czech team-mate Marek Jankulovski.
