28 is not old. renewing the loan, and maybe decreasing the option to buy a bit (if possible), will give us a chance to not buy him if he gets another injury, and buying him for pocket change if he convinces. i think he will do well here if he doesent get injured again, he was among the top assisters last season in Serie A and was on the WC squad for Italy before getting injured. a guy like him for 6M, or less if we are able to negotiate a lower price, is a bargain. players of similar quality would cost you twice as much, or even more in other leagues...
