I understand but a player thread is more about discussing how the player will fit in our system , his playing ability etc and its not about our shitty league and moaning about not having money .
You would have an excellent forum.

i think raiola is the deciding factor, I wouldn't be surprised if he is 'selling' the Juve dream to Lukaku
Ugh.

He is ours. Announced soon.

Although not arsed if not, he has some great atributes, but nobody ever mentions his bad points.

Having watched every minute of every game last season, he has a few.

I will, although some smart arse who has just watched MOTD goals with think im talking shite.

His first touch is awfull most of the time, and I mean embarrasing.

Really good defenders work him out quickly, and Romelu does not seem to have to have the first idea how to adapt, if a defender works him out early.

His in-box movement is poor, the amount of times, Ross, Baines, Seamus, Gerry, Mcgeady and Mirrallas put the ball in the box, for Romelo to be 5 yards off.

But, all but the first of these he can develop, and I think he will. I really like him, but he is still in development, and needs time.

People saying he should be starting for Chelsea now, have not watched his alround game. These things I mention, will be highlited massively starting for a title pushing side.

He would be a sub for Chelsea, and Rom wants to be the main man / weekly starter, hence him out on loan the last 2 seasons.

Physically he's a monster. I rate his aerial abilities better then Llorente too. And he's really hard to stop once he's in on goal.
If we ship of Llorente I can definitely see us going for Lukaku. Especially if Tevez is fine with a LW/LF role in 433.

He had a 2 month period before he got injured, he was awfull, really really awfull., and we had no fit striker to play instead of him.

If we had Kone fit, he would have played in that period.

Imagine that drop in form at Chealse, Juve or another huge CL Club ???!!!

Funny how the media didnt pick up on that.....yet his first game back, scores a tap in and its back to the old "He should be starting for Chelsea...." rubbish.

Why do you rate his aerial abilities higher than Llorente's? Lukaku scores the majority of his goals with his feet, while Llorente has been lethal for us with his head this season.

He is decent in the air, Llorente is better though.

Rom scored a beauty against Liverpool with his head, but was pretty much un-marked.

Naismith is better in the air for us.

Yes Llorente is lethal on headers but he's scored just 2 or 3 headers that I wouldn't expect some other quality CF to score.
Lukaku brings more to the game then Llorente, who sometimes look very distracted on the field. I count so many games where nothing works for Llorente, along with some brilliant displays ofc.

Romelu is the same. In time, he will be better than Llorente. He is not an improvement yet.

Improvement isn't nessesary. If he is an equal replacement, Sanchez joining us will add to the quality...
Lukaku has such potential. I rate that highly..

Heading is his absolute best quality, he dominated in Spain and scored 7 headed goals for us in Serie A.
Sure. But aerial abilites also cover physicality, height and style of play. Llorente is a brilliant poacher no doubt, but Lukaku jumps more into it and has a warrior ish style that Llorente dont.

He has a lot of potential. That much is obvious. But to say he is a WC striker already is just misleading.
I watched this guy since I first heard about him when he was 17.

From a physical point of view he is a monster no doubt.
Everything elss about him is still not fully developed though and that's very clear.

I would still love to have him since he has a lot of room for improvment.
