I'm not expecting it, but I still hope RvP will be that top CF we're going to sign, if we're even going to sign one. Him or Jovetic would make me very happy.

You guys want to know what i think of Wenger's comments.

He's right in saying the EPL these days is more prestigious than the Serie A, which has been in decline for a while now(in comparison to the 90's early 2000's) .

I do not follow Wenger's logic, so now if supposing AC Milan were interested in Cabaye, would he prefer staying in Newcastle than moving to AC Milan because the EPL is more prestigious? I don't think so.

Unless Wenger meant that RVP would rather go to City or United than go to Juve, then his point would stand, but thats not what he meant because he started his quote with "he's staying at Arsenal"

It was probably not a good thing to say, i'm not sure he's entitled to being arrogant right now either.

He said that if RVP moves to Juve, he'll buy the journalists a caramello, now judging on how cheap Wenger has been these past few years, you can be sure he's confident of RVP not going there :D

As someone else already pointed out, caramellos are cheap. That's what that's all he's betting.

I agree with most of your points.
But even i who like Arsenal's play and love what Wenger had done with the team over the years, with those invincibles and stuff, what he said was way out of line and angered me a lot.
He should be classier than that.
Especially when his team got trashed 4-0 at San Siro and got kicked out of the CL from the team that finished second in Seria a.
