A lot of us are considering rvP a risk, but is anyone considering that he's one of those players with a global image? And being one of those means he'll pay for himself - through merchandise and attracting a wider, perhaps newer fan base for the club given all the time he's spent earning a reputation in the BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD. Commercially, RvP is a guarantee. His age, or injury history doesn't detract from that fact.

In that respect your on to something although I still think we shouldn't over pay if that is where we are with this

Wow some of you guys blow RVP way to much
Yeah maybe just maybe he lead a desperate arsenal team to the champions league, scoring night in night out playing with the likes of Walcott and Chamberlain, Maybe because he comes as the complete striker with great technique, magnificent shot and wonderful movement off the ball. But by the look of it you've only seen him play in the Euros if you are really trying to say that he's just a notch above the likes of Balotelli and Dzeko

he does have good technique. he's a hilarious player to watch though, he looks like bambi on ice and then suddenly he just bags a goal :D

Some people just don't see the difference in world class and good. 'The Knights Templar' is one of them. Alessio Secco another.

Biggest difference is RVP is older than most of those players has had many more injuries

No it's you who's ignoring the simple facts and coming up with excuses to rate RVP a higher risk than a world known douchebag like Balotelli.
let me update you a little: you are supporting a club that bought Melo for 25 mil and 2 years later is selling his ass off for 8-10 mil WHY? bcuz, as talented as he is, he was considered more harmful by disrupting the team's harmony than being useful.
And you are saying that, bringing to this club with this kind of mindset, another headless monkey like Balotelli, is less of a risk than buying RVP?

You're racism is classy. Balotelli would cost a lot less in every aspect than RVP. Also I mentioned higuain and Dzeko and all you guys focus on is the Balotelli name I dropped. Hmmm so who are you all trying to convince me or yourselves about RVP ? Once again I never rated those guys over RVP I simply stated that for the money we should spend those guys would cost less in transfer and wages. So either you guys can't read or you choose to be selective in what you read because it's me
