The Bulls play awesome Defense, so yes, it was a possibility. It's not as if the heat are invincible. The Heat would've obviously been favored, but last time I checked, The Bulls, Thunder, and Spurs all ended the regular season with better records. However, now that Rose is out, the Bulls might not even get past the pesky 76Ers in the 1'st round.
So? It was exactly the same thing last year. Yet Miami had no problems with Bulls. Miami's big 3 step up their game in the playoffs.

Anyway, there is a thread for this topic and we should take it over there.

It's true that Marotta expressed admiration for RVP, and that's about it. I highly doubt RVP is going to come here.

I don't think that's insane. Look at what Ibra and Sneijder are making @ Milan and Inter respectively. If we aren't willing to pay those guys the salaries they demand, they are going to go somewhere else. If we penny pinch and try to be stingy and frugal, then good luck getting anyone.

You can't expect RVP/Higuain/Suarez to settle for 4-5 Million Euros (especially since that will be more like 2.5-3 Million after tax).

That's kind of what I had in mind. But you know this management isn't going to give anyone €8m a year, that's crazy. I could see them giving one top striker €5m a year like Cavani. How much do all those guys earn a year now?

Suarez earns around 4.2 Million Pounds a year.

Van Persie earns around 3.7 Million Pounds a year, but apparently Arsenal are willing to double that.

Higuain is poor compared to those two, being on 3.5 Million Euros a year.

Poor guys...

RVP already said it would take an extraordinary offer to get him away from Arsenal so I think we can forgot about him. I could see us going for Higuain but depends if Mourinho wants to keep him or will sell him. I think Suarez will stay with Liverpool one more season then go somewhere else (hopefully us :D).

I don't think Higuain would be too expensive either, maybe €30m. Not too bad since they were considering to buy Rossi for that much last season.
