I've heard a retarded (literally) Man Utd fan say that he would rather take Scholes over Zidane :howler:
So what? I'd take Del Piero ahead of Zidane too. Scholes has been amazing for United bringing them tons of titles and he has only played for one club for his whole career. I don't see why they would want to trade that for Zidane.

You're just arguing for the sake of arguing, Zidane is one of the greatest players to ever play the game, Scholes was just a pretty good player. No more argument needed.

Depends if you are talking to a neutral fan or not. A Man Utd fan might be inclined to be biased and say Scholes over Zidane, despite the latter being clearly the better player. If you ask a fan of Tottenham, PSG, Bayern Munich, Porto, any random neutral team, who do you think they'd go for?

Exactly.

And Scholes has actually been good to United being part of 10 league titles and 2 CL titles. Stuff like that means a great deal to a fan. Sentimental value.

Well, they won with Scholes, but who is to say, they wouldn't have won more (and been more formidable) with Zidane. He never played for those red fuckers (thankfully) so we shall never know.

To have zizou for a couple of years or scholes for an entire career I'd go with scholes. But if both are spending the same time with my team then I'd have to be retarded if I pick any midfielder ahead of Zidane let alone scholes.

Scholes isn't just pretty good, he was one of the best at what he did.

Zidane's obviously better than him.

Mehhh, He was above average. Yes he can shoot from far, but other than that nothing special, just normal DM. Plus his red cards :sergio:. He is overrated.

Look Man U still strugling because they can't find replacement for Scholes. They couldn't afford Sneijder's salary.
