I never said we were trying to sign Di Maria. My methodology is based on the rumors in conjunction with the actual players we try to purchase. In other words, it would follow this logic:

Player 1: totally out of reach player we are linked to in order to sell papers. Suarez, Di Maria, et cetera.

Player 2: reasonable player we would pursue that is also wanted by other clubs and commands a medium high transfer value. Iturbe, Nastasic, Sanchez, Higuain.

Player 3: the player we end up signing, generally not wanted by other big clubs. These are our players.
