From Rio to Turin

The old lady could secure the services of England and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand in a sensational move that would cost the Turin club around 20m €. Sir Alex could be keen to sell Ferdinand if Juve general manager Alessio Secco offers Jonathan Zebina in the deal to replace the aging Gary Neville. Sir Alex already has Rio's replacement in Piqué and could also move for Uruguayan defender martin Caceres. Juventus will need to splash the cash if they want to play an important role in next year's champions league and would also need to find a left back to complete the defensive line. Stuttgart's Ludovic Magnin is on Ranieri's list.

Finally a good defender linked to Juve.

He's a good defender. And on his day he can be immense but I doubt this rumor. I doubt if Ferdinand would even want to leave England. If we have to sign an English player though I'd go for Lamaprd.

I have a friend that lives in italy and he said he heard this rumor on a radio station, so it could be true.....

20 million is an excellent price for him......

Overrated, definitely not worth 20m IMO. There are better, younger defenders out there.

:wth: What the... f*ck?

20 million Euros for Rio? I suppose the price is the best we could get, but I would rather use the money to buy someone such as Caceres or Ivanovic or both to build for the future. Rio is a good defender, maybe not world class but certainly just below the likes of Terry and Puyol, but what I like about him is that he's good with the ball at the back. He would really improve our distribution and probably not opt to launch the ball recklessly down the pitch every five minutes.

It's just that he'll be thirty years old when he plays his first match with Juventus. Our squad isn't in the same shape as it was when we bought Cannavaro, so it just depends on whether we want to build for the future, build for short term, and if we have enough money.

Yeah, I didn't say he was bad (better than Boumsong at least), but 20m is a rip-off for a 30 year-old.

1 video, stupid mistake by Rio, but was done out of frutration. He even apologised to the fan afterwards. Everyone gets frustrated and angry.

2- not his fault

3- not delibrate. Do you really think he was going to hurt his own teammate?

4- Oh no a miss!!!! everyone misses a sitter.

not worth 20 m for sure, but still I'd consider him if better options are not available.

you do not convince me. Rio can be an ass sometimes, but he's a good player/
 That wasn't my case before the judge and jury why Rio sucks. I was just looking for that first video, and stumbled upon the others. As I said, he's not a bad player, but it'd be foolish to spend 20m on him.

I like Rio, what a duo with Chiellini. Magnin would be an upgrade to Molinaro right?
