... and I'm seriously considering quitting


It's a 45 hour week in a supermarket during the summer. I was planning on working until September, but I don't know. The job itself isnt very difficult or complex, but it's a bit annoying and draining. Work 6 days a week, and the money isn't all that good. If the money was better I'd stick through it and work, but I'm seriously considering weather it's worth it or not.

My first job was in 1994- I worked for a contractor company helping out in building houses.

My second job was a painter- in 1996 I was paining all the dorms at my college campus.

My third job was a great promotion- in the same year I was already a security guard at a female dormitory in the same facility

My theory is, no matter how mad the job is, one should stay with it until he/she finds a better one.

My first job was at a jewerly store for like a week and a half and I HATED it. I wanted to quit every single day and I almost did it but I wanted the money which I later spent it in parking spots and inviting people I dont like to the movies

how old are you?
if i would be you i would still work but looking for better work and if you find better work and they want you than quit
because if you need money than sometime's we have to do really stupid work , we all got this experienced.
and like jeeks says a job is a job , so dont worry some day you will have a great job were you do nothing and earns very much

I detested my first job(s) -- which were the more convenient ones in food service.

After a few connections with friends and a little footwork, one summer as a college student I got a cool job as a mail clerk in the Sears Tower in Chicago, which paid crap but was actually fun at least. I hung out with the corporate set and had to dress the part, but it was closer to being on a sitcom than sludging through foodstuff. Cool parties. Learned a lot from a recovering crack addict coworker from Brooklyn.

The next summer I lined up a job as an associate graphic designer... which was even more fun. I hung out with this Hungarian guy who told me all these great vulgarities like "pecha fust!" or "Hey, lofaz!" that we'd yell at downtown Chicagoans on lunch break (My spelling is certainly off, but I vividly remember the pronunciations.) One of my designs for an under-the-counter microwave display actually ended up in department stores across the U.S. ("Oooooh", I can hear you say. )

Z, you should check alternative options at least.
