My guess is fiorentina wanted to sell him for us but he wants to play for Milan or some other club perhaps. Thats why he's waiting for the summer to choose freely the club that he wants.

I think Montolivo would be keen on moving to Milan because their midfield would be much easier for him to break through for a starting spot.
