I hope it's the last option. I don't believe Marotta would do something that damaging to the image of Juventus.
It's a stupid move indeed, but I fail to see how this is gonna damage Juventus' image. If any, It's damaging ziegler's image as a respected International footballer.
This one move obviously won't do much/any damage to Juventus' image. It's a players who arrived on a bosman, and who knows if the rumors are even true.

However, the cumulative effects of 22 new faces, a ridiculous number of loans, and buying players who are either sold, or attempted to be sold the following year creates a perception of instability that can definitely be damaging to a club's image. Fans will be frustrated with the wasted funds (and will obviously respond negatively, which certainly can affect team morale), neutral spectators will find it bizarre/laughable and players will see all of that unrest, all of that turnover, and question the direction and leadership of the club. That's just the way it is. Teams that are successful generally have continuity, and this club has little of that.

Signing Reto was a fairly silly move, considering it's always been apparent that he's not a significant upgrade to what we had (and apparently, judging by the preseason, Conte thinks he's worse than what we have - or at least worse than PDC).

You can always count on the media to stir shit up though. That type of drama sells papers (or draws hits for their website).

Yet he wants the EPL :sergio:
Sneijder joined Inter at the end of the transfer window because he was desperately hoping that an EPL team would move for him, as he didn't want to move to Italy*.

*In no way am I suggesting Elia can be compared to Sneijder in terms of ability.

I would be surprised if even half of these footballers really had their heart set on where they went. But over time most will grow to like it, especially if we win.

Absolutely.

I'm just saying that I wouldn't hold it against Elia if he hasn't had his heart set on playing for Juve.
Me neither, I hold it against Marotta bringing one of his last choices on the list even after saying he wants to go England.
