As an American I wouldnt say the US "snaked" into the Middle East. "Snaking" implies sneaking. There was nothing about the takeover of Iraq that was sneaky except maybe the reason our administration gave for entering the country. I am in no way a fan of this President and he policies. In regards to "whos next", the best candidate would be Syria but I doubt that will happen. The President has only 2 years left in his term and our military recruitment numbers are dwindling. The two issues of time and lack of manpower should dissolve anyones notion of invasion fairly quickly.

Well, from what I hear from my palestinian friends, Hamas was one of the only groups helping Palestine and not just "helping" ... HELPING ! I didn't know what they meant by that but Im assuming a little bada boom bada baba and a repitition of that for another 3 years..

Actually i think its the best thing that could have happened.....America is always yapping bout spreading democracy and democracy is what they got. Even though hammas is labeled the "terrorist" while Isreal gets away as the good guy.
Hammas is actually a great group. They help alot in the palistinian community, By setting up proper health care, schools, security ...etc... One other thing to note is that they are not corrupt like the other party " Al -Fatah" party (yassar arafats previous one)
This could be a good thing on the long run since isreal will actually be tasting the same medicine its been giving the palastenians for quite some time. Hammas does not recognize Isreal as a state . Also they are hardcore activists the same as sharon was. This will be a great test of nerves for both sides. But like we have seen even the hardcore sharon finally began to give in towards the end because violence is not the answer. Hopefully both parties can one day be at peace with one another and recognize each other as separate states and move on towards peace in the region....
As for america this is the worst case scenerio, since they did not involve themselves in the forming of this democratic election. One other thing to note on and commend is that the palesitinians have been having democratic elections for all these years even though they werent recognized mabey this time the world can finally focus on this part of the world have peace in the middle east for once...
