    The deadline hasnt passed

UEFA's deadline is 11.00GMT monday 2nd feb for euro registration and 17.00GMT for domestic registration
    From Juve's site.

    It's over.

The times/dates i quoted are from uefa and are the ones in every newspaper at the moment.
Cant see uefa getting their own transfer dates wrong
uefa.com checks out where the money has been spent so far and wonders what big deals, if any, we can expect ahead of the deadline for registering players for European competition at 12.00CET on 2 February.

its stupid... scanning around reliable sources on the net over the last hour Ive found 8 different possibilities for when the window closes.

I would hope uefa could get their own window right, but you never know... Monday at the latest anyway

Sky sports were jus talking transfers and quoted the times i posted earlier (mon 11 & 17)

Yeah, I know. We'll, I think it's not gonna change anything since we're not gonna buy anybody according to Lippi and Moggi.

Didnt expect us too.. bit unsure why so many here thought we would
Not that I expected us to, but probably because it's been a long time since we needed reinforcements this badly.

yep, it makes sense dont you think??

We needed a defender and brought in a banned midfielder. And we only loaned out 4 players and got none in return. Yes, this all makes sense.

i mean, United needed a forward so they went for Saha. Inter needed a midfielder and got stankovic and even added Adriano, one of the worlds best young strikers. Arsenal needed a partner for henry and landed Reyes.

Seriously, our team is lacking IMO!!

It's funny how Juve doesn't even have financiel problems!

And the reason that they don't have financial problems is Juve never spends without selling first.

As much as Juve wants to win, keeping their boks in order is their top priority. That's why you'll never see a lineup of 'Galacticos' like Real Mdrid or an All-Star team like Man U, because staying in the black and making money is what's most important.

Unfortunately, Juve doesn't have the world-wide marketing power that a Man U or a Real Madrid, so they can't supplement their transfer expenses with rich endorsement deals.

When the rest of the world views Serie A as "ugly football", its an albatross that even the highest quality teams from Italy must wear around their necks.

Actually Juve DO have the world wide marketing power close to that of a Madrid or ManU. Juve's Nike deal is richer than ManU's deal with Nike.

Also, you don't see ManU spalsh cash either. Its only Madrid who splash cash and thats why they are constantly in debt. Of course there are some mysterious forces which get them out of trouble time and again.

ManUs last big transfer was Rio.... The rest were 5-10 Mil transfers or even lesser.

So ultimately its only Madrid who spend money they don't have and then theres Chelsea who have an endless supply of Russian cash.

however Ice, Manu U has a much larger worldwide following thatn Juve, and that turns into more apparel and merchandise sales for Man U around the world.

Proof positive is the US tour that took place last summer. Although the crowds were excellent for all the matches, the only matches to completely sell out were the ones that involved Man U.

Christiano Ronaldo, at 17 million, was their largest purchase this year, once they sold off Beckham and Veron, so they basically follow the same model as Juve does. Don't spend unless you sell. The big difference is, that because Man U gets 60,00 to every home match, whether its against Chelsea or Southampton, while juve usually averages around 35,000 this year, they can go out and sign a Luis Saha for 12 million in the January transfer window, because the constant revenue stream is coming in, whereas Juve would never even think about doing something like that.

In the black= making a profit

    in the red= in debt.

Albatross around the neck= carrying a heavy emotional burden.

Stay tuned next week for your next lesson, gray.:)
