Indeed, Mascherano was brilliant at the Olympics.

Its sad that Real are favourites in everyone they target......
sad yes,but unsurprising.they are the biggest club in the world,it's hardly a surprise that they've been favourites to land whoever they want.

figo's capture is the perfect example.getting the star player of a historic rival for a world record fee was nothing short of shocking.

Transfers are successful as long as they bring victories. No matter how many jerseys you sell.

You can make all the money you want, but that's not the main thing fans are expexting from their club.

with appiah and blasi at the club, also emerson and maresca on loan, i dont see a need for him really.

however, if he is a very good young talent and i would still like him at juve as i dont see maresca playing for juve again and appiah is yet to prove his worth.

Masherano is a great player. Juve is after him since tree years ago. Sivori is waching him in Argentina.
Hes only 19 and appears that his is playing football like a player with 25 years.

He plays a great Copa America, Olympics games and a great game against Peru in the last game of the qualify to the world cup 2006.

The problem is that juve in that place have Blasi(21), Emerson(28), Tachinardi(28) and maybe right now he dont have a place in juve. Maybe if Juve buy Masherano and loan him to some team.

in saying that though, tacchinardi is certain to leave the club next season if he is benched all season. maresca wouldnt return and if appiah doesnt this season, its certain he'll be out as well. we obviously need midfielders if that scenario happens. next summer he could very well arrive.

Mascherano is definitely a promising youngster. But then how often do we ever come across any of those?

Even so, the original article is foundationless anyway: who ever heard of a big Juve move in the January transfer window?!

In Athens he seemed like a brick wall in the midfield. No one seemed to get past him.
oh, he played every game there?! I watched those games, but he didn't really catch my eye, probably because I was much more interested to see Heinze, Tevez and D'Alessandro... :undecide:

But anyway, I don't believe that he's upgrade to Tacchi at all, because Alessio has much more experience, he's proven in Europe (of course) and he's our third Capitano... I believe that he is a legend around here for God's sake...

we dont need mascho. blasi, appiah, eme, tacchi are enough for the DM and CM-positions.

we need a RB like Rodriguez, and a player like Janku plus a forward (maxi lopez,tevez,robinho,...)

Because, like Chelsea, they are the biggest dumb ass money spenders in european football......
They're not being foolish on this occasion though as they could definitely use a defensive midfielder like Mascherano.
