Real Madrid are lining up a sensational bid for Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports in Spain.

Los Merengues are desperate to return to their former glories and Spanish daily, AS, reports that they are willing to spend up to £30m to recruit the services of Ibrahimovic, whom Real President Florentino Perez sees as the ideal partner to Ronaldo.

The report seems to mirror reality with Ibrahimovic’s agent today confirming that the Liga outfit are keen on his client.

"I can confirm Real’s interest," Mino Raiola told Italian magazine Guerin Sportivo. "They tried to sign him a few months ago, but Juventus said no. It is clear that Zlatan is liked by the Spaniards."

The talented Swedish star has been a huge hit since signing for the Bianconeri for £11.5m in 2004. In his first season at Turin the 22-year-old became a linchpin of the side, scoring 16 goals on the way to Juve’s 28th League title.

This season, though, Ibrahimovic has not been as influential, scoring just three goals in 22 appearances, and has seen his place come increasingly under threat from the resurgent Alessandro Del Piero and the prolific David Trezeguet.

The international is still considered by Juve, and particularly Coach Fabio Capello, as the jewel in the crown of their currently indomitable side and would be reluctant to relinquish such a prodigious talent.

The temperamental former Ajax man, however, has yet to sign a new lucrative contract that was reportedly put before him several weeks ago and with Real Madrid throwing admiring glances in his direction, could be tempted to move to the Spanish capital.

However, Raiola insists that talks regarding an improved deal at the Delle Alpi have not begun.

"I represent Zlatan and I can say that we are not discussing a new contract and we have no appointments scheduled with regard to an extension," underlined Raiola. "There is no problem between the club’s directors and the boy is happy with life in Turin."

Along with the tall Swede, Perez is also intent on luring a whole raft of other leading European players to the Bernabeu.

Striker Lukas Podolski of Cologne, Xabi Alonso of Liverpool, Christian Poulsen of Schalke 04, Osasuna’s Raul Garcia and Arsenal’s Ashley Cole are all on his Galacticos hit list.

Up the offer by another 10m and I dont see how the triad will refuse. Anyway, even the current offer is pretty good in my opinion. I dont think it would be a bad idea to let go now, when we've got cheaper alternatives in the market coupled with the fact that we're already equipped to deal without Ibrahimovic. Clearly, Del Piero, Trezeguet, Mutu and Zalayeta will suffice. That money can be put to good use, to prop up the defense and pay up for that one elusive creative midfielder that we sorely lack. Who knows, if Moggi is cheeky enough he might just ask for Cassano to complement the 30m on offer. This could be interesting.

@Bianconeri9: The deal isnt happening right now. Its taking place in the summer - a time to buy replacements for Nedved, Thuram and Zebina. Marchionni is already on his way, officially. So I think the money could be used indulgently on one midfielder and two defenders.

DP is getting old.....Trez might get injured you never know....we need The big Abraham..hehe
yes we need him because i just know he is gowing to be the best and if he is at Juventus that means that he will sell shirts like coca cola and that we in a couple of years have made more money on shirts and winning trophy's than just sell him to madrid also when the new stadion is ready zlatan will bring everybody there with his sexy tricks

THAT WAS THAT CLOSE THIS TREATH ZLATAN IS STAYING EVEN IF I HAVE TO PERSONALY DRIVE TO TURIN AND GIVE MOGGI A SLAP IN THE FACE ONLY FOR THINKING OF SELLING HIM

ZLATAN JUVENTINO FOR EVER!!!

Ibra is one of the most lethal forwards. It would be stupid if he goes for Real right away. Wait a minute, you still have to win a golden ball, a champions league with Juventus, after that, then you can go to Real Madrid and all their stars and be the star with the most weight (important).

If Zlatan wants to wave bye bye to his career, then let him go, the money is not bad, but i am sure that Real or Inter (because these are the teams that do the expensive buying, maybe even manu) would by him for double that amount.

But like i said before, Juventus should also have something figured out if thye do plan on selling him. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a fantastic world cup and his value increases 3 fold. But i also have this hunch that Juve are looking to bring in Messi. I think it would be the only way to go, certainly Messi is worth less than 30mill at the moment, and the only person i would sell ibra for. Otherwise keep him.

As far as toni is concerned, we don't need him. Gilardino is going to own everyone down that road (so i see it).

do you really think zlatan is gowing to leave after just 2years

believe me the boy is super happy in turin he is a god there i have read everything in italian and dutch how much zlatan love's Juventus

i have seen intervieuws from zlatan on dutch tellevisions because also ajax fans still like zlatan but also they see that the relationship between Juve and zlatan is different than the relationship with ajax and zlatan was , believe me Zlatan is very happy and he is only on the bench because he was sick the last 2weeks.
he will be on the field in no time and he will not let Juve go after again a scudetto and who knows the champions leageu

FORZA JUVE

FORZA ZLATAN
