Real Madrid are lining up a sensational bid for Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports in Spain.

Los Merengues are desperate to return to their former glories and Spanish daily, AS, reports that they are willing to spend up to £30m to recruit the services of Ibrahimovic, whom Real President Florentino Perez sees as the ideal partner to Ronaldo.

The report seems to mirror reality with Ibrahimovic’s agent today confirming that the Liga outfit are keen on his client.

"I can confirm Real’s interest," Mino Raiola told Italian magazine Guerin Sportivo. "They tried to sign him a few months ago, but Juventus said no. It is clear that Zlatan is liked by the Spaniards."

The talented Swedish star has been a huge hit since signing for the Bianconeri for £11.5m in 2004. In his first season at Turin the 22-year-old became a linchpin of the side, scoring 16 goals on the way to Juve’s 28th League title.

This season, though, Ibrahimovic has not been as influential, scoring just three goals in 22 appearances, and has seen his place come increasingly under threat from the resurgent Alessandro Del Piero and the prolific David Trezeguet.

The international is still considered by Juve, and particularly Coach Fabio Capello, as the jewel in the crown of their currently indomitable side and would be reluctant to relinquish such a prodigious talent.

The temperamental former Ajax man, however, has yet to sign a new lucrative contract that was reportedly put before him several weeks ago and with Real Madrid throwing admiring glances in his direction, could be tempted to move to the Spanish capital.

However, Raiola insists that talks regarding an improved deal at the Delle Alpi have not begun.

"I represent Zlatan and I can say that we are not discussing a new contract and we have no appointments scheduled with regard to an extension," underlined Raiola. "There is no problem between the club’s directors and the boy is happy with life in Turin."

Along with the tall Swede, Perez is also intent on luring a whole raft of other leading European players to the Bernabeu.

Striker Lukas Podolski of Cologne, Xabi Alonso of Liverpool, Christian Poulsen of Schalke 04, Osasuna’s Raul Garcia and Arsenal’s Ashley Cole are all on his Galacticos hit list.

he wont go, Real have a tactic to try to move on big players just before they come to the champions league games, they done ot to arsenal last year and now they r trying to do it to juventus ! I think every good player is brilliant next to another and they keep going for replacements . Last year they went for Ashley Cole ( to replace R.Carlos ) Viera ( To play next to Zidane ) It seems they want to play on their own and win everything themselves!!. But we all know With who Viera is playing now and ashley Cole is still with arsenal, So Real have only one thing to do ! WATCH JUVE WIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE !

It`s strange the fact that ,having 5 really class forwards, Real wants to add another.Well it`s really strange but we`ve seen The Whites to make some stupid transfers before. But I don`t think Juve will let Zlatan go,whatever the money

People are willing to let go players such as Camoranesi for a whole lot less money than Madrid is offering us for Ibrahimovic. So why not Ibrahimovic for this price?

We let Real have Cassano even though he went for like 10times of he's market price. Now Ibra is 'causing trouble' and might go to real?

Capello is sooooooo madrid bound.

With this year performances Ibra costs surely less than 30 M pounds. But we are not in need of money and I'm sure he will be great again. There is the world cup ahead and I feel that next season Zlatan will be good again

Never. Just don't let him leave. This boy will show us one thing or two in the near future. And if Cap really leaves for Madrid, he will not meet Ibra down there.

Even if this season is not the most satisfying for the swede, he remains the most talented striker in world football. It would hurt like hell to see him go.
