Rogue Spear was amazing, but its biggest downfall was its weak multiplayer engine. It would take forever just to play one game. Each time a round was over, the game was exited to the menu and then you had to reload the game all over again. It would have been better if they made a customized menu within the game itself and that would have increased loading times.

The CS multiplayer method is one of the best I've seen. The respawning isnt immediate which gets annoying in games like Unreal Touranment. The menus are all in the game itself too.

But hey, RS was made a couple of years before CS.

I was actually thinking of reinstalling RS and playing it, but then i realized there are hardly any servers (maybe 100 players). But I wanna lan up RS. That would be awsome with like 16 guys.

I agree about the RS loading screens. It was only good when I played clan matches, that way we could get everything just the way we needed it.

It was somewhat unstable too, crashing for no reason.

RS was abolutely awesome at LAN parties :geek:

too bad we are one opposite sides of the world... ;)

Me and my buddies used to lan cs at interenet cafes often. Its 3 bucks per hour and kicks the ass out of going to movies.

Was just playing cs for the first time in months actually, good fun.

My friend owns one of the biggest internet cafes in Sydney, so we always go there with about 12 of my closest friends. We get mates' rates of course (meaning free :D)

u guys mention some nice shootin games but one and only kicks aLL asses. and that is caLL of duty
Call of Duty was great, it was so immersive, especially the sound. I re-set up my 5.1 system just to play it! :thumb:

I loved how they didn't go with the traditional WWII game theme of one guy running around winning the whole war single-handedly. You truly feel that you're part of the squad, and you don't wanna let your commander down. He yells "Private Martin! Take out that mortar!", and you really feel like you're gonna be court-marshalled after the war if you disobey the order

I haven't played COD multiplayer, but I think it'd be awesome

sure is awesome:thumb:

the feeling of running into heavy enemy fire and seeing your teammates fall left and right was really gratifying and i felt alot of purpose when playing the game.

especially when captain price died in that bombing mission,it really got me down and i practically mowed throught the opposition on that one:touched:

the sound and flashing bullets created the atmosphere well, and the dreamy effect you get when a mortar just landed land beside you worked great.thumbs up to activision for this great game, pity it only spanned some 18 short missions,i thoroughly expected the game to last longer.couldn't believe i had completed it when i reached the reichstag:thumb:

I always get disapointed when I complete a game to quickly i.e. Rainbow six 3, hitman 2

I prefer quality over quantity though. COD was one of the few games that i could be bothered to go back and replay on the highest difficulty setting

Hitman 2 was indeed too short

a little unrealistic the way your enemies reacted though, you could get detected too easily sometimes.hitman:codename 47 was at the opposite side of the spectrum ie as long as you're in uniform nobody recognizes you however funny your behaviour, until you actually pull out a gun and shoot someone.

hope the next in the series will find a balance.

Haha another thing with Codename 47 was that if you pull out the piano wire while standing up, it's really loud and the guy hears you straightaway, but if you equip it while crouching and walking behind them, they don't hear it
