to be honest i don't really like grosso and the idea of haveing 3/4 of the italian back four is just .... just look at the last ec and the confed cup...
i would prefer a younger fullback....

but still we had a pretty good mercato but i really hoped for an good and young fullback. thats all

Well, all of us hoped for that. Maybe Carceres is the guy. Who knows. All things being equal, I can't see how this team won't be markedly improved over last year. Just with the signing of Diego alone, this team is so much better.

he is that "bridge" between midfield and attack that i've been screaming for since I've been on this forum. No more bogged down play in the middle of the pitch, no more hoping and praying for long passes to somehow make their way to the forwards.

Almiron still counts in our books. We need to sell a player like Bamba to make place for a non-EU player coming from outside Italy.

ooh of course we have improved alot since last year... with diego and melo we got two classy players... and even canna showed that he can be good for some games. maybe not week in week out but we still have legro and carceres than.
i'm more than pleased with our squad...we have the best gk in the world ,one of the strongest midfield and attack
just the fullbacks look more than foolish...
we just lack a good lb and rb.... zebina is good but he is an injuryprone or if he's fit he gets a red card for punshing someone :D grygera is awful andso is molinaro and dc don't look much better to me as a lb.
but in my opinion it is pretty important to have 2 good fullbacks in the formation we play. u don't need the best fullbacks in a 4-4-2 cause u have a Leftmidfielder and a rightmidfielder who can cross and even defend(like neddy did)

If it was up to me I would buy Zapata and santasantacroce instead. Zapata RB, Chiellini LB, and both cannavaro and santacroce as CB.
Dude, come on, be serious with this.

Do you honestly want to have a back four consisting of four center-backs? Because that's what you're doing right there.

Chiellini is a center-back. That's a constant and will not change. What we need are fullbacks who can attack and defend with somewhat equal ability in both aspects of the game.

I would be happy with a full back who can excel at one or the other at this point.

If they do get Grosso though, its still better than what they have now, so I would be pleased with their transfer campaign.

I'm sure Secco would be happy to hear that.

You can't ask your best CB to play LB???

another thing, as someone just mentioned that Brazzo to play at RB...So if we get Grosso then brazzo could be back up for Grosso and for Zebina, we won't have any troubles...
one question, is Grosso prone injury?

I'm being serious. Chiellini original position is LB, and we all know that he is the best left back we have in our squad at the moment. I've seen Zapata playing RB for Udinese last year, and he did really good. Both Zapata and Chiellini would do great job as our backs. Even santacroce can play RB. It's good to have defedners who can play more than one position. I would love if Ferrera in the mean time have the defense as follow

Zebina Canna Legro Chiellini

Chiellini is good going forward and great defensively. If we can't get a great LB, why not get a great CB and move Chiellini to his old position. I don't see anyproblem doing so.

It makes no sense. Chiellini is better in the center, not very good as an attacking fullback, and Legro is obviously the third choice centrally. It makes more sense to have a strong central defense and play DC out left with somebody more defensive out right, if this is what you're set upon.

Chiellini is the best CB Juventus has, it would be stupid to make him play LB. Buffon would never agree with that :p
