he's no Lucio, not remotely close and he's injured 90% of the season, he only performs for mexico actually. Awful at Barcelona last season.

I'd rather stick with poulsen (if for dm) or get someone younger (even if more expensive) cb.
He actually makes more mistakes when he plays for Mexico, that is why he was switched from a CB to a DMF.

Marquez is a good player. I think he would do well in Italy. Plus he has experience winning and that's got to be a big part of the new Juventus.

He was a great player.

He is now injury prone and too slow to be a top CB.

He's okay as a holding midfielder, but Juve don't really need one of those.

He could distribute the ball really well from the back(he would be good for counter attacks) and he's a pretty good defender, has been an injury prone for a couple seasons now, but when he's healthy he performs and Calcio football will fit his style really well. IMO he'll be a better option than William Gallas.

Oh and he's deploy as a defensive midfielder for Mexico, because the younger version of him (Hector Moreno) has been partnering Maza Rodriguez on the CB position.

Rafa has good positioning, and he could play as the cool defender distributing play from the back, while Chiellini could be the beast. IMO that will be a great partnership.

But don't get me wrong, I also want a younger CB to partner Chiellini next season. Rafa is just a better option than William Gallas as a backup.

Oh my... Marquez!!
I'd rather we keep old Canna than buy this fucktart... Even Mellberg and Legro were better choices.

He and Gallas are two players I'd hate to see in Juve colors or anything resembling it.. not even new castle or udinese.

I am gonna hate the new Juve me fears.

I'd rather have him than Gallas.
Gallas is defenitely the better defender, especially a really declined Marquez now. While Gallas has occasional brainfarts while being reliable quality defender rest of the season, Marquez defensively is more or less a clear liability at all times. Too slow to react (way too slow) and position himself etc. There is little to no small upside with him, error prone, injury prone, in his 30s. He has more the footballing qualities to play in midfield then defense when he is so off it defensively in last seasons.

Couldn't have said it better

Add to that that he wouldn't come here for free like Gallas would.
Big NO! to Marquez!

I believe it's a BS rumour anyway :alen:
