There has to be a plan B; our board can't be such retards. If the fat, greedy, Spanish waiter wants more money and wants to bring 1/2 his Spanish entourage and siesta crew with him, then he can simply go fuck himself. It's not like he is some kind of saviour. The way some are hailing him on this forum seems to suggest that he is some sort of "miracle worker" which he isn't.

Good coach? Yes.
Only option or we are doomed? Most definitely not.

I would be more offended by the 'fat' part

I think we'll get him. I think theres just media games by Liverpool and Benitez to make eachother look bad ahead of the departure.

Liverpool arent going to want to be seen as willingly letting go a fan favourite. And Benitez isnt going to want to make it look like he's just walked out.

This stuff about meeting Broughton just looks an excuse. If he was that desperate to meet him couldnt he just go down to London and see him? And if he's so keen to meet him why has he cancelled two meetings with him in recent weeks? He's going and is just playing the media into thinking it's all the clubs fault (which most of it is from what ive seen). In my opinion anyway.

I think we'll hear something after Liverpool play on the weekend, or maybe the monday.

It's really not about the money. Liverpool is where Rafa has spent the last 6 years of his life. He has a good relationship with the fans. His family with the community. If there is a hope of Broughton working a fast deal to sell the club and a new owner coming in willing to work with Benitez to turn the club around, then you really can't blame him for wanting to take a bit of time before jumping ship. In fact, his loyalty to fans and community should be seen as a positive rather than a negative.

If I were a Juve fan, that's the type of coach that I'd prefer. One that takes a moment to contemplate a situation when times are tough rather than abandon the club in a time of need.

a coach that takes a moment to contemplate a situation and decide if he wants to bring on some new players and by the time he did make up his mind its the 85th minute of the game and he makes his first sub :p
