Much rather have Capello over benitez. Dont care about playing styles, but capello knows how to get the best out of his squad more so than benitez. We need a manager who will grab the players by their balls and get them playing as a team again, however not even i believe capello is interested in returning, certainly not with these clowns in charge

The ones that haven't gone so well:

- Alberto Aquilani (£20m)
- Robbie Keane (£19.3m)
- Djibril Cisse (£14.5m)
- Ryan Babel (£11m)
- Albert Riera (£8m)
- Andrea Dossena (£7m)
- Jermaine Pennant (£6.7m)
- Craig Bellamy (£6m)
- Mark Gonzalez (£4.5m)

The ones that have:

- Fernando Torres (£20.2m)
- Javier Mascherano (£17m)
- Xabi Alonso (£10.7m)
- Dirk Kuyt (£9m)
- Martin Skrtel (£6.5m)
- Pepe Reina (£6m)
- Luis Garcia (£6m)
- Yossi Benayoun (£5m)

Doesn't tell the whole story as there have been many smaller transfers in and out who you can't say did particularly well or badly, perhaps the same for some I listed.

Cisse was Houlliers transfer, last thing he did for Liverpool before leaving.

I've said this before: ALL of this will be in vain if we don't improve the medical and fitness staff.

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Juventus have started work on hiring staff recommended by Rafael Benitez, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Spanish tactician is their No 1 choice to replace interim appointment Alberto Zaccheroni this summer.

Juventus reportedly held a conference call with his agent on Monday night in which they discussed a timetable for a decision.

Several sources within the Italian media are certain that there are only a few small details separating Juventus from agreeing a deal with Benitez.

La Gazzetta understands that Benitez has agreed in principle to sign a contract worth €4.5m a season and that he has accepted to reduce his staff from 12 to six people.

Juventus have been given a list of their names and they are now tasked with convincing them to join the project.

They include West Ham Fitness Coach Antonio Pintus, Benitez's current assistant Mauricio Pellegrino, his chief scout Eduardo Macia, his existing Fitness Coach Paco De Miguel who previously worked for Atletico Madrid and has a good relationship with Juventus target Fernando Torres.

Benitez has also stipulated that Juventus hire Amedeo Carboni as director of sport. Rafa worked with Carboni at Valencia and has great faith in him.

The final appointment would be Mauro Pederzoli, who now works for Milan after being a scout at Liverpool. He was also once director of sport at Torino.

Yeah, sounds good except from Amedeo Carboni?

It all too fucked if he gets to decide any directors. Staff fine. Directors, a big fat NO. I want my beloved club coached by Benitez, not run by him.
