I read your blind auction post and I was about to say Allan, and scrolled further down to see that you figured.

It's a lot of money to invest in the hope that maybe you would outbid Roma. I mean, Juve could, certainly, but your spending at least 10 million just for the opportunity to do that. Doesn't sound like good business.

If the real world works like FM, which it should, then you can't buy only half. You need to buy both halves at the same time. Or we could just help Cagliari outbid Roma and have a signed agreement that they'll sell to us.

It's not going to happen, but we could sign an agreement that if they win the blind auction we immediately buy him for $x. Then they bid $x/2 and so on.

that could work i guess. but as you say, its not gonna happen. EPL clubs have an eye on him and they will offer more. we dont need him as desperately as United for example
