Let's compare with Asamoah, then. We paid 18 for Asamoah, but I think Asamoah is a better player. All I'm saying is that I'm hoping we can get Nainggolan for no more than 12-14 million. I think his value lies there somewhere. 18 million is overpaying in my opinion. He doesn't have a lot of suitors either. There's Inter, but if they wanna splash 18 on him, we should pass and let them have him.
Pretty much every big team in Italy has been linked with him :D

I don't think he's worth as much as Asamoah was either, but you'd have to consider that this is a January transfer.

Yeah, that's true. I do hope that Beppe will use every single bit of his pennypinching prowess in the negoatiations, though. But you're right, we should expect a somewhat larger transfer fee due to it being the January window.

Remember GDS reported a deal along the lines of...

Loan in January with the Obligation to buy in the Summer? One thing I don't get is why they would even consider letting such a valuable asset go and not even see a penny in return for the next 6 months.

Me too, but I won't hold it against him if he bends over a bit for this deal, I really like Nainggolan and it would be sweet to prevent Inter getting someone that would be very useful for them. One of the few players that has asserted themselves against Vidal.

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino says he won't block Radja Nainggolan from leaving in January.

The midfielder is being linked with a Juventus move this season.
"It has been about two years now that (Giuseppe) Marotta and (Fabio) Paratici have been asking me about him and I must say that they have behaved impeccably," Cellino told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"They have never put pressure on us, and I appreciate that.
"If they were to ask again in January, I would leave Radja free to decide what happens.
"He has always given everything, maybe he deserves a new challenge. At Cagliari we appreciate the situation we are in."

According to latest rumours it seems we'll pay 18 million aslong as Cagliari allow us to loan him in January till the summer like Matri which GDS claim they are.

Paratrici is in constant talks with his agent according to GDS.
Think 15m is about his value, but when you factor in players always costing more in January, 18m is not a wildly unreasonable valuation.

I was arguing that Juve should go for Nainggolan when they were signing Asamoah, though obviously that was when we all though Asamoah was being signed to play in midfield.

Anyway, I see from some of the odd comparisons in the last couple of pages that people either haven't watched him or don't understand him.

18M is a panic buy IMO. I like the player but perhaps his quality is a bit of a waste as 4th/5th choice going forward. As I've said, if we can get through this season and sign someone like Matuidi on a free, it'd make much more sense.

In any case, I'd be happy to have him but I fear 18M is taking too much away from our budget for desperately needed wingers.

Matuidi is starting and staying at PSG. Just ask @Salvatore, he can confirm.

You guys really think that PSG are gonna let Matuidi go for free?

I'm all up for this transfer. €18M is a bit steep, but we need another CM badly. It's one step closer from never seeing Padoin on the pitch for us again.

Chill people. Even though I want RWF the most because we have none atm Radja will be a very good buy for us. Something like Ogbonna in defense. If someone of our starting CMs gets injured or needs to be rotated Radja will make it without dropping quality in the midfield. He would be a starter in any Serie A team including Nipples Bbilan, merda and Roma.
