The Primavera ended their Viareggio Cup group stage with seven points after playing out a goalless stalemate with A.P.I.A Leichhardt this afternoon.
With qualification already wrapped up courtesy of two wins from their opening Group A fixtures against Maribor and Avellino, Marco Baroni’s side confirmed top spot with a draw against their Australian opposition.
The encounter gave the opportunity for Baroni to hand a debut to Jose Cevallos, just hours after the Ecuadorian talent received international clearance to begin his adventure in the black and white stripes.
Stefano Beltrame and second-half substitute Eric Lanini provided the greatest threat to the opposition goal throughout a feisty 90 minutes, with both denied by good goalkeeping as the Bianconeri pushed for the win.
The main chance of the game, however, fell to Leo Bonatini, who was unfortunate to see his well-struck effort cannon agonisingly back off the woodwork.
Juventus will discover the identity of their last 16 opponents tomorrow afternoon.
