With qualification to the Next Generation Series knockout stages already in the bag, Marco Baroni’s Primavera will be aiming to go one better when they take on Paris Saint-Germain in tomorrow’s final Group 2 encounter.
The French outfit, who were overcome by the Bianconeri on 19 September thanks to goals from Ruggiero and Bonatini, currently lead the group by a single point.
A win in Paris would see the Primavera top a tough group and potentially avoid a host of big names in the last 16.
Baroni’s side travel to France on the back of 13 straight successes in all competitions. Their final encounter of a prosperous 2012 is a Coppa Italia quarter-final tie against Sampdoria, with the Bianconeri holding a 3-1 lead from Saturday’s first-leg in Liguria.
