The Primavera completed another sensational comeback to seal a win over Sampdoria this afternoon. The first clash between the two sides finished in a 4-3 thriller at Chisola, with the return encounter proving to be less exciting. Bouy, Padovan and Magnusson were on target in a 3-2 win.

Both teams cancelled each other out in a combative opening half-hour. In fact, it would take a error to allow the hosts to break the deadlock. Rubin knocked the ball back to Branescu but found Martinelli alert to nip in and tuck the ball past the Romanian goalkeeper.

Marco Baroni, however, did not have to wait long for a response. After Cafferata was prevented from doubling the lead by Liviero hacking away off the line, Appelt launched a perfect pass forward for Buoy, who steered home to register his first goal in the championship and send both sides into the break on level terms.

The Blucerchiati appeared galvanised in the early exchanges of the second-half and found themselves back in front shortly before the hour mark. Icardi eyed up a long-range attempt and made no mistake with a deadly finish into the corner.

Juve’s coach elected to throw caution to the wind and replaced Libertazzi and Margiotta with Padovan and Ruggerio. Padovan was instantly involved in proceedings, capitalising on Spinazzola’s assist to restore parity.

The Bianconeri could now sense a winner and their patient build-up play was eventually rewarded. Buoy swing in a corner and Magnusson rose highest to power the ball into the back of the net.
