@Luca honestly been watching Forest mostly the whole season because friend wanted to get into having a favorite EPL squad (knew very little about soccer in general) but didn't want to go with a so-called top tier teams year-in-year out. So he himself researched three teams (Bighton n N United others) and went with Forest.

I told him great but top ten finish might be the best it gets lol. Unreal in CL position updating him with stuff all the time. Told him if CL qualification happens, lots of money could be had meaning continued success might happen. Loves Wood of course and funny he's tall himself with a with profound type nose too lol.

You know way more than me, but looks like they do need another forward/striker to supplement Wood because I'm worried could get worn out?

Top 10 would have been dreamland, I had us down for a relegation scrap in all honesty!

Forest certainly need a striker and extra winger as of high calibre of the first 11 to add more quality in depth and options. Taiwo is absolutely finished for Forest, my dead grandparents move faster than him. Jota is perfectly fine, but he’s a squad player in the mould of Tofolo who can be put in certain situations, not a first option to a cover for a key player like CHO.

I don’t think that money is an issue with Forest with or without CL. Firstly there’s the owner, who never seems shy to pull out his wallet. But more crucially, there’s a good bumper with PSR having sold Brennan Johnson to Spurs after the deadline for 20m extra to Spurs rather than Brentford over the last summer before that particular window shut. We took the slap of 6 points last season for that but the risk paid off as we have a much better position to spend ‘within our means’. We recruited so smartly and incredibly cheaply this summer, so much of that Brennan bumper is still there and now is the perfect time to use it.

Could be an interesting few days coming up because at least the loss today shows we’re still easily beatable and the owner’s pride will certainly try to rectify that. I think we’ll struggle to pull any players of easily recognisable quality at the mid point in an unexpectedly good season. We already tried for and got rejected by Marmoush and Santiago Gimenez in the summer so I think it’d be the same story, but at least the ambition is there.

Aside from a striker and winger, an interesting player that we already have could be Sangare, because we sometimes get bypassed in midfield too easily (like for the first goal today) and he could present an answer to that. He’s a big leggy guy with a good player in him. Looked like he was ready to push on this season before he got injured. Wonder if he’ll make any difference for us at this stage.

Anyway, I’m still over the moon with how the season is going, February will be a crucial time as we play 4 teams we lost to in a row…
