Slot seems to have slowed things down and introduced more control of games. Doesn’t need to teach them how to attack they’ve been crushing it for years.

Fark! The things people will do not to manage Manchester United...

Tuchel will be judged a failure if England don’t win the Euro or the World Cup which, in all probability, they'll fail to do. In the meantime, he will face criticism for any or all of the following: not singing the national anthem, selecting TAA, not selecting TAA, being paid too much, upsetting the media, complaining about FA bosses, not being the German coach the FA really wanted.

This is the type of gig that either makes or breaks your career.
But if they do win any trophy. He becomes a legend just like that. They came close twice despite being coached by English Allegri

Yeah, its been very interesting to watch Liverpool's Slot machine. Klopp had these cunts going from first gear straight to fourth gear and it was quite intense football. Slot has them going through the gears one at a time. A much more balanced approach to the game.

It'll be interesting to see what their fans think. A few I know are pissed off that Chelsea had more possession at Anfield. At some clubs there is a certain style of football the fans come to expect.

The more I think about this appointment, the less it makes sense. Surely the objective is World Cup, not Euro.

I can understand why Tuchel took the job but I don't know what the English FA are thinking here.

- When was the last time a World Cup was won by tactics? There isn't enough time to implement tactics - this isn't club football. Man management is far more important.

- Unnecessary pressure. With Southgate, England had an excuse. Now, there's absolutely nowhere to hide if they don't win the World Cup. If they weren't already under intense scrutiny, they are now.

- Asterisk. If they somehow do win it, there will forever be a shit stain associated with England winning the World Cup with a German manager. Is it even worth it? I'd be furious if Italy appointmented a French or German CT.

International football is supposed to be a representation of your culture. I know with oriundi this is a very complex situation and the horse has well and truly already bolted, but management/technical staff is where I draw the line (especially for the historical heavyweight nations). I couldn't give a fuck what Belgium or Switzerland do in this space.

By hiring a foreign manager they've just completely undermined the "rebuilding the culture" work Southgate was allegedly responsible for. And now it's back to the good ol days of appointing the Capello's, Sven-Goran Eriksson's, etc.

- I think Euro or World cup anything that breaks the drought they'll take it and run.

- I think they saw a tradeoff between hiring English vs getting top quality coach and they're seeing an extremely talented generation pass without a trophy. Best odds to getting over the finish line is not extra players it could be a coach that doesnt suck.

- Italy and Germany never have problems producing good if not great coaches unlike England. Their players are really good and technical now that foreign coaches have revolutionized English football but they are ways behind on the coaching front. If there any good ones out there you'd have seen English clubs hire them. Eddie Howe is the only English coach in a decent job which says a lot.

- Its not a return to Capello era Tuchel is inheriting a team that reached two finals and a strong culture. He is not here to rebuild it from the ground up.

United can’t catch a break lol. Had enough chances to bury West Ham including that open goal miss by Dalot. Then De Ligt gets penalised by VAR on a dodgy penalty call at the end :lol2:
