In England and Spain, they protect their clubs and try to sweep this shit under the carpet as much as possible. City will hire an expensive cadre of lawyers and will either weasel (or bribe) their way out of it or just use delay tactics for as long as possible.

True but I think people in England are starting to get sick of city creating monopoly and turning the premiership into a farmer's league. If they don't do something it will continue this way for a long time.

You'll see more and more of this, alienation of local fans. They don't care who is watching as long as someone buys the ticket. In working class towns one day we might see 5-10% of fans from the local area with season tickets.

It's so unnecessary as well as risky. If the team gets relegated it's a slippery slope as football tourists dry up and parachute payments only last so long.
