Even if you convince Allegri to jump on mid-October, its a tall order to get 3rd or 4th with that squad. The squad is not necessarily worse than Chelsea, Spurs or Arsenal and surely better than Leicester, but coming in mid season its tough to turn a circus into a fuctioning team if you dont have a clearly superior team.
Its understandable to give Ole time, theres not much to lose and a lot to gain if he gets his shit together
