They couldn't find a buyer all summer? I would think that with all transgressed they would let him go on the mega cheap.
I think they want to sell him back to Atletico or to China in January. From what I read they were only trying to send him on a 6 month loan.

But the fact is that they didn't sell him, they have no depth at striker, so adding him to the squad list is pretty obvious.

Well I haven't been following it that closely but after such a public meltdown, given that chelsea have billions to find replacement, seems odd that he is still there.

Chelsea had a terrible mercato. They had to get Zappacosta because Ox-Chamberlain said no. Fricking Llorente said no.

It's all bizzare really. Besides Morata who they over paid for to get, their entire Mercato is complete joke. It makes me appreciate ours much more.

In fact most of EPL had shit Mercatos except the two Manchester clubs.

I wonder why. Can't be a money issue and they've just won the premier league but transfer targets are treating them like they're Arsenal or something. Whoever is sporting director/ GM whatever the position is called in England must be garbage.

And Conte must be fuming :lol2:

I don't know who to cheer for in the Prem. I guess Liverpool because they all have a screw loose and just run around the field in random directions while the coach looks like he's being electrocuted.

But I don't mind Tottenham either.
We're both Liverpool and Tottenham sympathizers :weee:

Him signing a 5 year contract in May had a lot to do with it.
pogba had 4 or 5 years left on contract when he went to man u. Neymar's dad extorted a loyalty bonus from Barca, who are trying not to pay it because neymar left. Contracts don't mean much nowadays unfortunately

Somehow I get the feeling this year's Chelski is a worse team than the one that won the title last year - it's as if they tried really hard to fix a team that just wasn't broken.

Liverpool had a pretty good transfer window.

With Salah yeah. Don't rate Ox much but forget about him. But besides that they needed more depth which they didn't get for midfield and defence.

But my favourite signing in EPL is for sure Naby Keita even if it'd really signing for next summer.

I think Ox will be really good for us. Kind of a Lallana understudy for the CM position and filling in for Salah and Mane.

Don't managers themselves responsible for transfers in bpl? Looks like conte couldn't even find his restaurant with 100s euros on his pocket

I think they have more say over who the club should target but I doubt Conte personally is calling these people up on the phone

Their transfer director is this lovely fella

Needless to say, Chelski fans want him (and his sidekick Russian chick Marina Granovskaia) out on their asses due to their continual failures in the transfer market.
