Manchester United has become the UK’s first football club to partner with leading lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) charity, Stonewall - the group behind the rainbow laces campaign.

The club have said they will "work alongside Stonewall, helping to tackle LGBT issues in sport and society, whilst looking at best practise and ways in which inclusion and equality can be improved in football.

Ruth Hunt, Chief Executive of Stonewall, said “Manchester United’s support means we can reach millions of football fans both here and around the world, to encourage them to do their part in making all people feel welcome in sport.".

so both mings and zlatan were charged with the same 'violent conduct' by the fa apparently.
"However, the FA suggested Mings could face an increased ban for his offence."

Bit of a joke. But then I suppose if they believe it was a genuine stamp, which is not even close to being clear, then they have to throw the book at him. Either that or let him off and just get Zlatan. Decisions, decisions...

If we were in an actual Court the most logical outcome imo would be that Zlatan is punished severely, while Mings walks. It's unfortunate, because you can sort of understand why Zlatan retaliated, but it's far from certain Mings made a deliberate attempt to hurt Zlatan, while you can't really honestly argue that Zlatan didn't mean to hit Mings.

Retaliation on a football pitch should (and usually is) treated much harsher than the initial offense.
That makes sense if the original foul is something that happened during the normal course of the game. If Mings deliberately stepped on Zlatan's head, that's not something that occurs during normal play.

As expected Zlatan has been given a 3 match ban. He will miss Chelsea (FA cup), Middlesborough and West Brom.
Impossible to give him less.

Doesn't matter.

Or at least it shouldn't imo

In other news, PepCity Stoke 0-0, 10 pts lead for Conte now

Tottenham&City 56, Liverpool 52, Arsenal 50 with one less game played, United 49 with one less game. It will be tough to leave the Manchester clubs out of CL, hopefully Arsenal and Liverpool go on a run of wins
