i dont know if anyone over here is into music production, but i want to get a sound card that would enable me to get a decent sound when i record songs, both when i use a microphone and when i record directly from fruity loops.i want a soundcard that gives a decent performance, and isnt too expnsive either.

i think you got the wrong forum pal. :D

i'm really not an expert but when i was buying a sound card, each and every soul said don't go for creative, they are crap, go for audiotrak prodigy.

in the end i got creative audigy 4 and it suits me fine. :p

m-audio and e-mu seem to be well priced good quality recording sound cards. look to spend at least $400 for one with a break out box for easy connections, rather than bending over behind your pc tower each time you wanna reconnect a different instrument.
