I know, some of them are pictures of Psilocybe Baocystis .
I had a fantastic book about all species of Psilocybe in the world.

I has been in Huautla so may times....and i am the proud discoverer of Psilocybe Sanctorum....

Is the Psilocybe Sanctorum with a good effect?

And can you tell me what triggers them to start growing? I just know it is around this time of the year. Last year over a period of one month we managed to gather around 140, which is more than enough for four people.

Another question, if you leave it unpicked, is it likely to pop up the next year or if you pick it there is a better chance of popping up?

A third question, I thought snow kills them, but I saw a picture of some Psilocybes growing between snow. And the guy who took the picture said they really worked as in the snow did not kill the spores. But I was skeptic.

1.- Psilocybe Sanctorum has a very strong effect...because it has more psilocybin than cylocin or Baeocystin....a similar powerful effect than P. Caerulescens and P. Zapotecorum...

2- Rain....the enough amount of rain is what makes Psilocybe to grow.
BTW, what you see and eat is the fructiferous body of the mushrrom. the real one is the cotton like tissue that is in the dirt....

3 is the same if your pick it or not....as i tell you, the real fungus is the cotton like tissue that stays in the land, giving it chance to regenerate each year....

4.- Snow dont kill them. snow is water and watwr is what they need to develop.

Later on i can send you some unique pictures i has taken of different species of psilocybe...

Just remember....dont eat to much....and always be absolutely shure that is the right species.....

I heard a story about someone who hate these, I don't what are they called

They are known to be the drug of the vikings and it is said that they make them hyper and aggressive. What he experienced is hyperactivity and dillusions, but no trips of visual effects. He couldn't sleep for hours and because he was so stupid to eat four heads, he wanted the effect to last longer, he kept on drinking his own piss.

Are there poisonous psicolybe? I heard there aren't and the other psicolybe have no effect at all; maybe just stomach ache and diziness which might cause vomit afterwhich things get back to normal.

Then you gave me good news about where to go pick up this year, last year on our last hunting day we found a spot that was so crowded and I still remember where it was.

BTW, I pick up these as well

I don't know their name either but I know they are delicious :lick: I love them with eggs or even fried on toast and nothing else.

I think they're called cremini. Were they growing on a tree (as opposed to in the ground)?

About that book, I read that Psilocybe Semilanceata is the most common magic mushroom in England, but I also heard that the strongest is found in Scandinavia. How true is that?

Not at all, they grow in the ground, I will look them up in the dictionary. They translated it to the English name chanterelle.

By the way, there are small mushrooms that are common in Italian woods and grow in September. The Italians love to eat them with eggs. They are a brown on the head and the stem is white in colour. These I would like to eat as well.

Any mushroom does? I eat lots of mushrooms with my food. I make mushoom sause everytime I fry or grill steak. Or if you mean the Psilocybe Semilanceata, I eat only once a year.

Portobello are what we call pasture mushrooms. Try getting the little ones (before they open) and pickling them or putting them under oil.

My favorite way to have just about any mushroom (but particularly porcini) is fried.

The portobellos I get are big, as big as a palm. They are good as omlette, but my favourite is frying them and melting creme freche in it
