In reality we could get by with Kovac, Chiellini, Barzagli, and Gerrard. That would be enough for next season as we would solve the partner for Emerson problem and could solve the RB problem if Zambrotta would be able to make the switch.

With Mutu the attack does not need any reinforcements, so that just leaves Gerrard, Chiellini, and Barzagli to obtain.

Chelsea do not need Gerrard. Makelele still has a few more years left in him and of course Lampard and Robben are top players. Moreover, Gerrard is the sort of big name player Mourinho tries to avoid, so I don't see him going to Chelsea.
