I just got a PS3 80GB.

Been enjoying some Half-Life 2 and PES2009 :D

However, since MGS4 is out, I'd like to play the older ones. But PS3 80GB is no longer backwards compatible. So my question is, is there downloadable patch that can solve this?

I read everywhere that Sony has completely scrapped off backwards compatibility.

my 80gb is backwards and i just bought it back in july. that seems odd that they would scrap that feature. but i'm pretty sure that there are hacks out there that allow you to restore backwards compatibility.

obviously there are some risks with any soft mods but i'm sure you're already aware of that

I have Little Big Planet, and am feverishly trying to finish the story mode so that I can collect all the tools so that I can start creating levels.

I just picked up Resistance 2 yesterday, aftere having been in the beta for a month. Can't wait to rip into that. Hopefully today or tomorrow I will get my beta invite for the jawdropping Killzone 2 beta.

My PSN ID and XBL tag is Vinny Cafone Jr

What is the point of Little Big Planet?

And how do you get invited to the Beta?

And Killzone 2 is going to be the SHIZNIT!

Little Big Planet is a standard 2- 2.5D side scrolling platform that is about 50 levels long where you can play with up to 4 people online.

However, the beauty of LBP is the user created content. Basically, once you finish the levels and tutorials you will be given all of the tools needed to create your own levels, no matter how simple or complex you want to make it. Then, you can publish those levels online through the PSN and anyone can play them. THere will be more tools and decorations/stickers available as time goes on.

It leads to endless replayability
