Andrea Pirlo has underlined the Bianconeri’s determination to reward the passionate support of the Chinese fans by lifting the Super Cup on Saturday night.
“We’ve come here with great enthusiasm,” he stated. “We’ve been shown great affection by the fans and we hope to repay them by bringing the trophy home.”
The 33-year-old also believes the current off-field events will make Juventus an even more formidable force to be reckoned with when they cross the white line at the Olympic Stadium.
“The morale is high, even if we know certain team-mates and the manager are going through difficult moments. Our strong point, however, is on the pitch and it’s there we must show exactly what we’re worth.”
The midfielder ended by speaking glowingly about the club’s activity in the transfer market.
“The club has worked as best it can to bring in targeted signings. We’ve got what it takes to also do well in the Champions League and try and go as far as possible.”
