Looking at all those haters over there :euromax:

It litterally was 99% of the posters in his transfer thread. When judging too soon or forgetting someone was actually good before the injury last season, makes almost everyone eat humble pie.

Beastly performance today he was everywhere

Not just defensively but he is by far the most in control player whe have in defence with the ball (cambiaso is essentially a midfielder). He allways knows what to do and has no fear to advance well with ball.

"Did we forget a bit about the real Kalulu?"

Pierre Kalulu to 'Prime Video': "Maybe you forgot. I'm always certain of my qualities".

Last year we had a decent defense because everyone sat Sezczzzny's lap. Gatti kept things interesting with brain farts that Bremer tried his best to recover. This year Gatti has been a lot more solid. Decision making is not even comparable. Positioning is a lot better. And I could go on. Bremer, however, went from a really, really good CB to solidifying himself as one of the best CBs in the world. Danilo's injury was a bit of a blessing for these things to manifest. Then came Kalulu... what - the - fu**?! Suddenly we have competition for CB spots. Kalulu and Bremer should of course be starters. But at least we have a contender in Gatti and a solid backup in Danilo. Worst case scenario we also have Cabal to step in, although he seems extremely raw to me. I'd prefer Savona then.

so far, the only problem i have with Gatti is he should stop rushing forward or trying hard passes. Just keep it simple and stay in defence, he doesnt look bad at all if he does it.

When he did it last year it was because it was Allegri's interpretation of modern football. Gatti stumbled forward and we hoped we would earn a FK from it. There was no clear idea of what purpose this action had.
Under Motta's principles he is supposed to do that whilst Savona inverts behind him. It create issues for high pressing teams and teams that mark man-to-man. But, year, as you say, his passes are what they are. Yesterday, however, I thought it looked ok. Couldn't believe my eyes when he went for his swing pass to Koop. But yeah, it would be best with alternative solutions and Gatti keeping things as simple as possible. He did some neat tackles though.
