Looked just as solid in a classic CB role too.

As it stands he is the first choice RB(RCB hybrid) and probably also the first backup choice for CB too when one of Gatti or Bremer are out.

Yeh he’s been really solid, but as a RB we have very little creativity or overlapping runs with him there. He’s a pure defender. So eventually I guess it’ll be between he and Gatti as to who plays the starting CB role.

He made a good run at the start of the game against PSV that was pretty impressive. Looked pretty explosive in that movement. Didn't see it again though but he does look very comfortable on the ball.

So apparently I can’t judge Luiz or thuram and have to give them time. But same people who said that are here saying how impressed they are with Kakulu. Apparently he shouldn’t be given time .

Since you mentioned Todibo - "Lopetegui has not been convinced that Todibo is ready for Premier League action"

7 minutes in 5 PL games.
his price tag was always crazy but I did like him. I think he’s good enough for the PL and would’ve been good enough to play here, but never for 40M. A fit Kalulu is just as good, if not better at half the cost. He’s also younger and can be a fixture for years. Just stay healthy.
