That i actually agree on, ain’t one of those, what worries me is that we needed someone fit that can challenge for a starting spot in defence right away, and i’m not convinced he is the answer but rather an low risk money wise but high risk availability wise, an opportunistic panic buy/loan that we are gambling on after wasting a whole summer chasing shadows.
Have already explained multiple times that it's not about the money. We need a good CB fit to be a starter NOW and are not in a position to take a gamble.
If this doesn't work out we are stuck with Gatti as a starter until January or even next summer.

That wasn't my question. We have the same defence apart from Alex Sandro and Rugani, right? Just checking here, really... Last year wasn't so bad in defence but we had 2 banks of 4... And Gatti is awful.
Kalulu & Todibo basic stats compared at August 23 (23/24 Kalulu nearly never played).
They have more similarities than what people think. Pierre is good on the ball, progressive passes, carrying ball, fast, young versatile.

Probably. But it was an honest question. I have just as much faith in Cabal as in Rugani 'tho. Basically none. But Cabal has less bad memories (tho the penalty mistake was already a first) so for now he gets the benefit of the doubt.
I have checked more into this matter and after thinking it through i’ve now got to the conclusion that his injuries from last season were actually not that serious afterall and that there is no reason why we shouldn’t expect him to be fit and in form going into this season, a player of his quality and versatility is surely worth the gamble, even more so if it’s a cheap one because he will likely be available more often than not.
No point setting expectations based on his last season alone as it might be deceiving but rather look at his performances and availability pre injury which really tells the full story.
Since when being injured only three separate times for 36days, then 119days and another 44days in just last season alone makes you injury prone? Check his pre injury record, always fit.

Yes but it was only as recent as last season that this long injuries surfaced, which is less relevant going into this season, before those episodes he was always fit, meaning now it’s more likely that he will be back to his pre injury availability and form right away.
